Monday News Blast: Nike Coach of the Year Clinic, CHSCA Boys Hockey Player of the Week
Nike Coach of the Year Clinic, CHSCA Boys Hockey Player of the Week.
It’s a big week and it all starts on Monday. The NFP Sports team is coming off a great Nike Coach of the Year Clinic and we’re gearing up for the Walter Camp Breakfast of Champions on Saturday.
Nike Coach of the Year Clinic
From Thursday to Saturday this past week, the NFP Sports team was in attendance for the Nike Coach of the Year Clinic in Windsor, CT. This is an event we attend every year and it was great to finally be back as this was the first Nike Coach of the Year Clinic in Windsor that was in person since 2020 due to Covid-19.
It was great meeting new coaches and speaking with familiar faces about our fundraising opportunities whether it’s Premium Discount Cards, our new Pizza Madness card, or edible options. In addition, we continued the long tradition of giving out freshly baked David’s Cookies at the clinic. Team members were baking them right on site like we do every year.
CHSCA Boys Hockey Player of the Week
This weeks winner of CHSCA Boys Hockey Player of the Week is Alex Petersen from North Haven High School out of the SCC/SWC. He beat out Quinn Heagney from Simsbury High School, Derek D’Angelo of Greenwich and Kyle Provencher from Tri-Town Co-op.
The CHSCA Boys’ Hockey Player of the Week is sponsored by Cheshire Sports Center and Hamden Sports Center. Voting closes at 8:00PM tonight so make sure to vote as soon as possible on CHSCA.org.
Walter Camp Breakfast of Champions
We are closing in on the Walter Camp Breakfast of Champions! This Saturday, the winners of the Kelly Award, Inspiration Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, Player of the Year, and Coach of the Year will be honored. In addition, Hall of Fame offensive tackle Tony Boselli and Arizona State quarterback Drew Pyne will be speaking at the event. It’s going to be an exciting breakfast that has been loved by many in the past.
